Why we love Hydroponic Vertical Gardens
When Paul and Lynda Soper moved to the West Coast of New Zealand they found it hard to grow fresh salad greens the traditional way. The climate was harsher than they were used to and there just wasn’t enough days with the sun and heat required to grow fast growing green vegetables, herbs and strawberries.
They were busy professionals with little time to spend in the garden on the weekends, so with some Kiwi ingenuity they converted an old glass shower box into a vertical hydroponic garden. In no time they were growing more healthy fresh green vegetables and herbs than they could cope with.
“We were quite surprised by the amount of fresh green vegetables and herbs we could grow in such a small space. Even in the colder months we were able to grow more than we needed.” Lynda says. On top of that it was such a clean way to grow fresh green vegetables and herbs.
Green walls, fresh veggies and herb gardens
Paul and Lynda had the desire to share their way of growing healthy fresh green vegetables, herbs and strawberries with everyone. “We want to make it easy for busy people to grow healthy food even when they have little space to do so.”
Paul went on the hunt to find the best hydroponic growing system available to bring to New Zealand. Now for the first time in New Zealand you can start building your own Nutriwall vertical hydroponic garden system.
Paul says “the benefits are greater than just the fresh vegetables you can grow and the knowledge of what has gone into growing them, but also the greener surroundings create a healthier environment to live in.”
